Our company recently completed this awesome project with Rauser Design using the Perfect Wall concept.  The entire exterior skin is metal and I thought a video of why we like metal would be fun!  For more info on this house see these blog posts.

Hi Matt, did you use a rain screening element behind the metal siding on this project? If so, what route did you take? Had the siding been installed vertically, would that have changed your outlook on things? Sorry in advance if the ‘perfect wall’ reference assumed rain screening was implicit in the design.

Thanks for all the great info!!

    Matt,

Thanks for the post and video!

One concern a client of mine has is if the walls will make a popping sound as the metal reacts with the heat of the sun. I have experienced it with metal roofs before in Timber Framed homes. Any reference to this issue from the homeowners?

    Thanks!
