Custom Front Door – Before/After Remodeling Photos

This is a whole house remodel that my company completed at the end of 2008. The entry was enlarged and the front door location moved forward in the floor plan. The “before” shot was taken during the demo phase, but it’s a dramatic change isn’t it? I wanted to post a plug for my custom door company Grand Door Co. in College Station TX. They did a magnificent job on this custom 3’4″ wide Walnut door with sidelight. My finish carpenters installed the Walnut trim around it and it’s truly magnificent! The architect, Nick Deaver created a true gem with the old bones of this house. Check out how well my Mason weaved the recycled brick in when we expanded that opening. I’m a big believer in spending a few extra dollars on a custom entry door. That’s the first impression of your house and you’ll love opening a custom door to bring your guests into your home. I’ll post some more before/after shots in the coming weeks, but we entered this house into the 2009 MAX awards for “Best Remodel”. -Matt Risinger
