It’s time for my annual best picks for Man Gifts in 2016!
These are some items that have served me well and a few that I found recently via a video asking for ideas. Thanks to everyone who helped me curate this list! In no particular order, and all with free Amazon Prime shipping links.
Black Diamond Ember $37 http://amzn.to/2fqIWyP I like how this 150 Lumen flashlight also can give up it’s juice for one full phone charging. Handy port covers too. This earns a spot in my briefcase & backpack for sure.
Nite Ize Steelie Vent Cell Mount Kit $27 http://amzn.to/2f9fd2l This little gem has served me well for about two years now. They recently have added several new Steelie options like this Vent Mount kit which clips to your car instead of using adhesive. Good for travel too.
Kershaw Cinder $8 http://amzn.to/2fqJLb8 Great little keychain knife. Terrific price and dual function. No brainer stocking stuffer for anyone.
Leatherman Surge $98 http://amzn.to/2fT9Weo Always been a Leatherman fan because of the pliers. Super helpful on a job site and around the house. This newest version has a hammer too! Very nice too that will last for many years.
Splash Flash $8 http://amzn.to/2fqIvob Another great stocking stuffer. Will have this clipped to my backpack at all times. I especially liked this one because it uses a standard AAA battery. I’ll be getting these for my kids too.
Stor-A-Cell Multi Battery Carrier $7 http://amzn.to/2gaamea These are awesome. This model carries 8AA, 4 AAA, and 1 9v Battery. I keep one in my truck and one in my briefcase at all times. Of course with Lithium Energizer batteries!
Bug-A-Salt $50 http://amzn.to/2ftjMmG Super fun “shotgun” that shoots salt at flies! Kids & Dad will love this.
Eagle Creek 60L Duffel $89 http://amzn.to/2gn2Y1T This ultimate duffel has backpack straps which really sold me. This is my go-to bag for weekend trips of any variety. Love the handles and organization.
Franklin StudFinder $50 http://amzn.to/2gnHa3C Best stud finder I’ve ever used. So much better than the standard ones. Shows exactly where studs are in the wall. Love this tool!
CRKT Nathan’s Knife Kit $10 http://amzn.to/2fqFOmC Fun to assemble and has been a great way to teach my kids about knife safety without my wife worrying about an accident.
Nite Ize Inova Xs Flashlight $12 http://amzn.to/2gFAbpN This little light is a perfect size for your briefcase and I love that it uses one AAA battery. It puts out 80 lumens and has a great clip attached. Great little light for the price point.
EasyACC 6000mA Power Bank $23 http://amzn.to/2fqDmMP With enough juice to charge my phone 2x and a built in cord, this is a great power bank at a good price point.
Rak Magnetic Wristband $15 http://amzn.to/2fqHXPp Great tool (helper) for any handyman, DIY’er, or tradesman. I find this really helpful when taking things apart too. Great stocking stuffer.
Another shot of the RAK wristband.
Nitecore P12 Flashlight $50 http://amzn.to/2g5X02y With 1000 lumens this is a crazy bright flashlight and he will be so happy to get this as a gift! It’s fantastic.
Benchmade Mini-Griptilian $90 http://amzn.to/2fqFsfC A terrific knife at under $100. This will last many decades and be a pleasure to use and own.
Joby Gorillapod Phone mini-Tripod $29 http://amzn.to/2ghXOAA I use this for time-lapse job site videos weekly. It’s also great for a quick portrait with your family. I have really liked this little tripod. Be sure to get the model for your size phone.
